Soprano Whitney Wells, a native Houstonian, is excited to be back at Opera in the Heights! Last season, she covered the titular role in Lucia di Lammermoor and sang in the chorus of the same production. Praised by ArtsKnoxville for her “electric, high-energy, sassy portrayals” onstage, Wells has enjoyed contracts with companies such as Marble City Opera, Knoxville Opera, The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston, Amadeus Chamber Ensemble, Operativo Houston, Opera in the Ozarks, and Lawrence Opera Theatre. In 2022, she was featured as the soprano soloist on the album Dreams Unseen with The University of Kansas Wind Ensemble.
