Jack Cozad

Venezuelan-American baritone Jack Cozad is currently pursuing a Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Houston studying under Danny Belcher. In the 2025-2026 season, Jack has performed in the World Premiere of Hobson’s Choice as Fred Beenstock by Tom Cipullo and as Papageno in Die Zauberflöte at the Moores Opera Center. The season also included performing King Melchior in Amahl and the Night Visitors with Music on Site in Wichita, Kansas. Later in the season, Jack will cover Luiz in The Gondoliers with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston. In the 2024-2025 season, Jack sang with Amarillo Opera in their outreach program as Dudley in Little Red’s Most Unusual Day, then Coppélius in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, and a World Premiere ofSanctuary by Katie DeVet with Texas Tech Opera Theatre. Previously, Jack performed Belcore in L'elisir d’amore with Texas Tech Opera Theatre. Also, Jack performed with Opera in the Ozarks as the Father in Giannini’s Beauty and the Beast, Marchese in La Traviata, and Le Chat in L’enfant et les Sortilèges. Jack Cozad graduated with a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance at Texas Tech University under Alice Anne Light.
