Soprano Eleni Calenos and pianist Teruhiko Toda are internationally acclaimed artists with a strong connection to Opera in the Heights, where they made important US debuts that led to their celebrated careers. They reunite for a one-of-a-kind evening of songs influenced by popular styles. Music by Ravel, Falla, Tosti, numerous titans of the Italian operatic tradition, American musical theater, spirituals, and music of Eleni Calenos’ native Greece. The recital will be presented in the stunning lobby of The Museo Institute for Medical Arts.
