Keir Murray, Angelotti, is welcomed back to OH after his shining debut as Quinault in Adriana Lecouvreur. He holds degrees from UT-Austin and New England Conservatory, is a student of Lois Alba, and studied with the late Metropolitan Opera tenor Richard Cassilly. He has performed such operatic roles as Rossini’s Figaro; Mozart’s Count Almaviva, Papageno, and Masetto; Eisenstein and Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus; Silvio in I Pagliacci; Sharpless in Madama Butterfly; Belcore in L’Elisir d'amore, and Top in Aaron Copland’s The Tender Land. Most recently Mr. Murray performed the role of Roderic in the Houston Gilbert & Sullivan Society’s 2007 production of Ruddygore. Previously with Houston G&S, Keir performed Captain Corcoran in HMS Pinafore, Don Alhambra in The Gondoliers, and Dr. Daly in The Sorcerer. He appeared in San Francisco Camerata’s world premiere opera Corpus Evita and in zarzuela performances with Jarvis Conservatory in Napa, CA. On the concert stage, he has performed with the Victoria Bach Festival, the New Texas Festival, and has been a soloist in Boston’s historic Jordan Hall.
