 John Tsotsoros, Cavaradossi, excelled as Maurizio in Adriana Lecouvreur in January and is pleased to be back at OH for Tosca. Most recently he has performed as Rodolfo in La Bohème with Connecticut Lyric Opera, having sung the role at Opera of the Hamptons, as well as Don José in Carmen with the Hudson Opera Theatre. At the Natchez Opera Festival, he performed the roles of Fenton in Falstaff, Luigi in Il Tabarro, Freddy in My Fair Lady, and Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof. Mr. Tsotsoros performed in the Tulsa Opera's production of The Little Prince as Baobab and Hunter, and as the Prince in their outreach performance of Rusalka. Mr. Tsotsoros was an apprentice at the Lake George Opera, where he sang the role of Frank in Our Town by Ned Rorem. He performed with the Kansas City Puccini Festival in the roles of Cavaradossi in Tosca, the title role in Edgar, and Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut. He has also sung Beppe in Paglicci with the New Jersey Verismo and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi with The Kansas City Conservatory at UMKC. Mr. Tsotsoros’s upcoming engagements include performances of Pinkerton with the Little Opera Company of New Jersey. |
