Recent performances include Camille in The Merry Widow with Rimrock Opera, Ernesto in Don Pasquale with Asheville Lyric Opera, Tonio in La fille du régiment with Virginia Opera, a cover of Tebaldo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi at the Glimmerglass Festival, and two concerts with Steven Blier and the New York Festival of Song in collaboration with the Glimmerglass Festival.

Stefano de Peppo was born and grew up in Milan, Italy. After his debut at the Opera House in Mexico City in 1992, he became one of the most popular singing-actors in his fach, known for his skills as a comedian in operas by Mozart, Rossini, and Donizetti. He has performed at Los Angeles Opera, Washington Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Minnesota Opera, Teatro Argentina in Rome, at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, among others.

Critically praised for her beautiful, intelligent singing, Nancy Markeloff has performed over 40 roles with Opera in the Heights, Moores Opera Center, the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston, Shreveport Opera, Amarillo Opera, the Lone Star Lyric Theater Festival and others in the U. S. and Europe. She is also a seasoned concert soloist and has sung live numerous times on Houston Public Radio’s The Front Row.

Wesley Landry performed roles in Don Pasquale, Don Giovanni, The Mikado, and The Merry Widow as a Studio Artist with Opera New Jersey. Mr. Landry received his Master’s Degree at the University of Houston singing in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Die Fledermaus, and A Room with a View. He made his solo debut at Houston Grand Opera in 2006 as the Customs Guard in La bohème.

Cassandra’s next engagement is with Opera Vista where she will portray the controversial and extremely demanding role of the “Dirty Duchess of Argyll” in Powder Her Face.

Maxim Bitner currently resides in Houston, where he sings as Bass Section Leader for St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, and teaches private voice lessons at Lamar High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Music from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, and intends to pursue his Master’s degree in the coming fall.

This is Nathan’s second season performing with Opera in the Heights. He studied voice at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Outside of Oh!, Nathan is a staff singer at St. Philip Presbyterian Church in the Galleria, and a member of the marketing team for Mattress Firm, Inc., at their Houston headquarters.

Kevin James Lusignolo

Kevin Lusignolo is a student at the University of Houston working toward earning his BFA in acting. This is his first opera, and his debut at Opera in the Heights. He could be recently seen this summer in The Houston Shakespeare Festival in both Othello and The Taming of the Shrew. Past shows he’s done at the University of Houston include The Importance of Being Earnest, Henry V, Richard III, and the world premiere of Now This. In November, you can catch Kevin playing the Judge in The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge at U of H.
