Maestro Enrique Carreón-Robledo
Artistic Director/Conductor
  A Crystal Globe nominee, Maestro Enrique Carreón-Robledo has gained international recognition as a well-rounded interpreter of Opera, Ballet, and Symphonic repertoires performing at the helm of a great diversity of Orchestras in Europe, the Americas, the South Pacific, and the Middle and Far East. Originally from Mexico, after having lived in several different countries, he recently moved from London to Houston to serve as Artistic Director of Opera in the Heights.

 

Keith Chapman
Director of Artistic Administration

  Keith Chapman received his Bachelor of Music in Piano from North Texas State University and a Master of Music in Piano from Rice University. In the past he has accompanied for the Houston and Dallas Ballet Academies, the Houston Boychoir, and at Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. In addition to his duties at Oh!, Mr. Chapman is a librarian at Rice University.

 

C. Vincent Fuller

  BMus.Ed., M.Mus.Ed, Texas Southern University; Doctoral study University of Houston. Chorus master with Oh! since 2004 starting with La Traviata. Published composer of choral and organ music – GIA Publications, Paraclete Press; Adjunct lecturer, Texas Southern University; Organist and Choirmaster, St. James Episcopal Church; Chorus Master, Houston Ebony Opera Guild; Member, Music Commission – Episcopal Diocese of Texas.

 

Jennifer Kelley
Stage Manager

Jennifer has been a part of the SM world for seven years, working on numerous productions. She will graduate soon with her Associates in Theater management. She is very excited to be a part of the Oh! team, and would like to give a special thanks to Rachel Smith and the scenic design team for always being beautifully amazing at everything they do.

 

Lynda McKnight
Stage Director

  Lynda Keith McKnight made her stage debut with the Metropolitan Opera in 1991, and has since performed with opera companies and symphonies throughout the US and abroad. An acclaimed director, this is Ms. McKnight’s fourth bow in the director’s chair at OH, having previously staged productions here of Rigoletto, La Traviata, and Three Acts Three. A native of Houston, Ms. McKnight currently serves as an Affiliate Artist in Voice on the faculty of the University of Houston Moores School of Music.

 

Dena Scheh
Costume Designer
Katy, TX
Dena has been the resident costume designer for Oh! since 2008. Some of her favorite past shows include Pearl Fishers, Tales of Hoffman, La Bohème, and Madame Butterfly. She has also costumed for The San Antonio Opera, Philadelphia’s Walnut Street Theatre, the Outdoor Musical Drama TEXAS and Houston’s Gilbert and Sullivan Society. Dena works as a full time costumer at Houston’s Performing Arts Supply Co.

 

Rachel Smith
Scenic Designer/Builder/Painter & Prop Designer
Katy, TX
Rachel Smith graduated with an AA in Technical Theatre from San Jacinto College and is currently working on her BA in Media Production at University of Houston. She is extremely thankful for the opportunity she has been given at Oh!, beginning last season with Pearl Fishers. She wants to thank her partners in crime, Erin Pruetz and “Super Mario” Lampazzi. Without their talent and expertise, she’d be lost.

 

Kevin Taylor
Lighting Designer
Katy, TX
  Kevin has designed some awesome lighting for theater, dance , music, puppetry, events, and opera for 16 years, and has been working with Oh! since 2007.

 

Teruhiko Toda
Assistant Conductor/Repetiteur
Tokyo, Japan
Teruhiko has worked as a Repetiteur and Assistant Conductor at New National Theatre Tokyo and Assistant Professor at Tokyo College of Music. His operatic repertoire includes over 35 complete operas. He especially participated in many Wagner and world premiere productions with world famous conductors and singers (G. Giacomini, Gerd Albrecht, etc.). In Houston, he performed more than 180 concerts with HGO including concerts at Miller Outdoor Theater, and has been heard on KUHF.
