A graduate of Juilliard, Ms. Zamora is the co-founder of the “arts peace corps” Sing for Hope, for which she received a UN Torchbearer Award and was named one of CNN’s Most Intriguing People. Soprano Emily Newton is from Lake Jackson, TX. She began the 2011-12 season as Mimì in La bohème with Amarillo Opera, and will return to the Metropolitan Opera for Wagner’s Ring and Mussorgsky’s Khovanschina. Last season Ms. Newton made her Opera in the Heights debut as Elisabetta in Don Carlo and this season appeared as Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte. Other recent appearances include Micaëla, Antonina, Donna Anna, and Beatrice di Tenda. |

Erik Kroncke’s unique bass voice has been in demand all over the world. His repertoire includes Sarastro in Die Zaubeflöte, Gremin in Eugene Onegin, Mephistopheles in Faust, Hunding in Die Walküre, and Boris in Boris Godunov; with the Sarasota Opera, Opera San José, Chautauqua Opera, Green Mountain Opera, Opera Fort Collins, and Lyric Opera Virginia. A numerous award winner, he has also appeared with the New York Philharmonic, Korean Philharmonic, Sarasota Opera Orchestra, and the Chautauqua Symphony. Erik performed the role of Don Alfonso in Opera in the Heights’s Così fan tutte earlier this season. He lives in Waterbury, VT. |

Sandra Schwarzhaupt began her career as a young singer in Europe. Since her switch from soprano to mezzo-soprano in 2006, Sandra has sung in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Caramoor); En Saga by Hirokazu Sugano (Merkin Hall, NY); Diary of Anne Frank by Grigori Frid (Germany); Carmen (Expresso Opera). She worked with Long Island Opera, Natchez Festival of Music, Opera Exposures and New Rochelle Opera. Sandra has sung Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Bach’s Missa Brevis with the Monmouth Symphony; the Verdi Requiem with the GateWay Music Society; and Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde with the Chamber Philharmonia of New York. Sandra is from Cologne, Germany and is making her Opera in the Heights debut. |

Born and raised in Southern California, Natasha Flores received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of San Diego, and began her Masters of Music at the University of Southern California. She then became a member of the Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program at Los Angeles Opera; where she made her Los Angeles Opera debut in 2006 as Nutrice in L’Incoronatione di Poppea. Natasha was also an apprentice artist at Santa Fe Opera and in the Merola Young Artist Program at San Francisco Opera.Some of the roles she has performed are Madame de la Haltiere in Cendrillon, Idamante in Idomeneo, and Mrs. Herring in Albert Herring. Natasha now lives in Houston and is thrilled to be making her debut with OH!. |

Born in Puerto Rico, Lázaro Calderón is establishing his presence in the operatic world since his Carnegie Hall debut of Haydn’s Mass in the Time of War and his Lincoln Center debut of Mozart’s Requiem. His repertory includes Rigoletto, Manon, Lucia di Lammermoor, La bohème, Don Giovanni, Die Fledermaus, and La Rondine with Sarasota Opera as well as Don Luis de Haro in the Premiere in Puerto Rico of the Zarzuela El Barberillo de Lavapies. He won Best Italian Aria at the Puerto Rico District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and was a finalist at the NYLOT 2010 annual competition. Mr. Calderón returns to Oh! following last season’s Zarzuela performance. |

Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Patricia Cay earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Manhattan School of Music and later became part of the Juilliard Opera Center. Her career includes opera, oratorio and concert. Ms. Cay has been featured with the Virginia Opera, Opera de Puerto Rico, Teatro de la Opera in Puerto Rico, as well as Opereta y Zarzuela de Puerto Rico. Operatic roles include Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Nicklausse in Les contes d’Hoffmann, Béatrice in Béatrice et Bénédict, Charlotte in Werther, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly, L’enfant in L’enfant et les sortileges, Stephano in Roméo et Juliette, Meg Page in Falstaff, the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Lucretia in The Rape of Lucretia, and Frugola in Il tabarro, among others. |

Bass Daymon Passmore received his Master of Music from University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Passmore has been a regular performer with Oh!, most recently in Don Carlo, Tales of Hoffmann, Un ballo in maschero, and Manon. Other recent performances include Sparafucile in Rigoletto with Verismo Opera, Don Godofredo in La curandera with Butler Opera, and Pimen, in Boris Godunov with Dnepropetrovsk Opera. |

Nathan de Paz received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University where he had an opportunity to perform several character roles such as Dr. Cauis in Falstaff, the Magician in The Consul, Monostatos in Die Zauberflote and Einsenstein in Die Fledermaus. He has a been a regular chorus member at Oh! since the 2010 –11 season and was recently seen in the Oh! production of La fille du régiment as a peasant. Later this season, he will be singing the role of a messenger in Il trovatore. Born in The Philippines, Mr. de Paz now resides in Houston, TX. |
