Kyungmook Yum, Michonnet, is a graduate of the Juilliard Opera Center in Manhattan. He received his bachelor of Music Degree from Seoul University and received his Artist Diploma from Southern Methodist University. His repertoire includes Germont in La Traviata, Valentine in Faust, Marcello in La Bohème, Papageno in Die Zauberflote, Figaro in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, the title role of Mozart's Don Giovanni, and Figaro in The Barber of Seville. Future engagements for Mr. Yum include the role of Germont in Verdi's La Traviata for Seoul National Art Center and Solo in Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Mr. Yum has been the recipient of many awards including first prize in the Korean Musician Association Competition, National Opera Association Opera Competition and Palm Beach Opera Competition and also received the third place award from the Altamura Enrico Caruso International Competition. |
