We are now accepting Mainstage audition applications in all voice categories for our 2012-2013 Season.

Artists interested in participating please complete the online form. There is a $25 dollar application fee payable at the time you submit your materials.

Audition Requirements:
All applicants must submit at least one sound clip with their application.  The primary sound clip must be an aria by Verdi or Mozart. Arias by Donizetti, Bellini and Rossini are suitable secondary choices. Extra submissions in French and German are welcome.

Auditions are open to all singers whether they are represented by Artist management or not. The company provides a stage for emerging Artists demonstrating strong potential for a professional career, thus, the standards are very high. You will be contacted by phone/email to arrange an audition appointment.

Season Information 2012-2013:
The proposed repertoire for the 2012-2013 season is now listed on the Yaptracker website.

Program Dates:
Season of four productions commences in Sept and ends in April. The first rehearsals originate in late August/ early September. Performances are in late Sept. – early Oct. early and mid Nov., late Jan. – early Feb. and late Mar- early April.

Program Information:
Opera in the Heights is a leading regional opera company in the United States with a mission to provide a stage for emerging Artists with definite career potential and is on the recommended list of the Metropolitan Opera as an Opera company for career development. Artists who have recently been featured on the Oh! stage have been engaged at leading opera companies throughout the U.S. and Europe.

There are either six or seven performances of each production. Lead roles are often double cast, in which case each lead artist will sing either three or four performances over a two week period. Artists in Secondary lead roles and all Comprimario roles sing All performances. The rehearsal period is approximately 21 days. All performances are with orchestra in the original language.
